Following the announcement by the World Health Organization that the COVID-19 infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 has become a pandemic, the Coronavirus Prevention Work Group of Šiauliai university has decided to suspend the contact study process from March 13 to June 15th inclusive with a possibility to extend the deadline if needed.

Organization of work of Šiauliai University Library from the 1-15th of June:

– books and other publications can be issued to take at home from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, but must be ordered in advance;

– during the quarantine period (17.03–15.06), no fines for delayed returns will be charged;

– use on-line resources and free access resources;

– consultations on searching for information in scientific databases are provided by e-mail jurate.antukiene@su.lt or vilija.leviniene@lib.su.lt during the quarantine period from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays;

– consultations regarding ETD (Electronic theses and dissertations) are provided by e-mail: jurate.grusiene@lib.su.lt;

In response to the challenges created by the global public health crisis of COVID-19, publishers have opened their content (e-books, journals, magazines, video etc.) temporarily available for free on their platforms.  We will continually update the list of publishers offering free access.
