Due to Coronavirus the contact study process is suspended 

Following the announcement by the World Health Organization that the COVID-19 infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 has become a pandemic, the Coronavirus Prevention Work Group of Šiauliai university has decided to suspend the contact study process from March 13 to April 13th inclusive with a possibility to extend the deadline if needed.

From the 1st of April Šiauliai University Library will be closed, books and other publications will not be issued.

In response to the situation, the working hours of Šiauliai University Library are reduced and the provision of services is limited:

you may take books and other publications ordered in advance March 31 from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m.;

you may return books and other publications March 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the quarantine period (17.03–13.04), no fines for delayed returns will be charged;

use on-line resources;

we will consult you by email jurate.antukiene@su.lt or vilija.leviniene@lib.su.lt during the quarantine period from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays;

all other Library services are not available until April 13;

no services and consultations are provided on weekends.


In response to the challenges created by the global public health crisis of COVID-19, publishers have opened their content (e-books, journals, magazines, video etc.) temporarily available for free on their platforms.  We will continually update the list of publishers offering free access. Please found the information here.
